These are just crate pallet boxes i picked up for free. I was able to make 3 trough feeders out of them. The smallest one is 12" x 4' and holds about 25# of feed and the large one pictured below holds 50# and is 16" x 5' . Top is hinged for easy filling The chickens use the feeder to help them jump/fly up to high roost boards. They don't sit on feeders because the top is pointed and uncomfortable so, they stay pretty clean. Both sides have access holes. My chickens seem to really like them. I like them because they only need to be filled once a week. I use 5 gal buckets with nipples for water & 3 gal rubber pans filled with water for summer. The pans get dumped and filled daily. Hope this gives you some ideas.
