Honking hens !

I have two Barnvelders, now about eight months old. I got them when they were six months old they were laying or laying, and they honk ! Not sure if they were raised around geese or what but they don’t make chicken noises, they honk is this typical of the breed ?

Some birds are just honkers, my late girl Thyme was a honker and one of my current girls honks every now and then as well. Nothing to worry about

No, very green here, no illness noticed, just honks !

My hens "honk" if they eat something dry that get's caught in their throat...I always assumed it was a "chicken cough"

A couple of our Light Brahmas squawk with a honking sound compared to our other chickens!
