Was out in my shop today, and heard this odd sound of something striking something solid. Then my pullets went nuts. They made sounds I've never heard from them before, and I knew something was after them.
Only took me a few seconds to run around the corner and see a red tail hawk laying dazed and confused about what the heck he just hit, because he definitely realized it wasn't feathers or a chicken dinner, lol. I was reaching for my phone to snap a pic, when he gained enough composure to fly off.
I don't free range do to the number of predators looking for a free meal is staggering in my area.
Took the gals 20 min before they would leave the coop.
