Hooray my new chicks are here!

hello i am jrloko. i have got baby chicks! well i have got 3 rhode island reds, 2 Barred Plymouth Rock chicks and 1 american Onagadori. i also have a 3 month old hen. dont know the breed

and lasy but not least i also have a silkie rooster that is about 10-11 months old. pics comming soon. maybe a lil help with genders.

congrats, that's great!!

i am a new chicks owner too, but from what i have read and now experienced is that the BR's are more likely to get pasty butt. mine all did, but they were very stressed from shipping. but the problem went away after i removed the paper towels. (i cleaned em up too). even though i replaced the towels 3 times a day they were always in poo. i stopped using them in a day 1/2.

last night i got a new 5 month old silkie. another rooster. had to get in between them in minutes after introducing him to the others.
so then now i am building an other coop just for him and a couple of his own hens hehe
