Hi!
DH and I started our poultry adventure last August with hens-2 Barred Rocks, 2 RI Reds, 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Black Marans, a black copper Maran rooster, and 6 Guineas. We bought a mixed flock of day old chicks(Auracanas, Barred Rocks, and Buffs) about 6 weeks ago. I found BackYardChickens (what a lifesaver) during endless searches for info on building coops, types of feed, feeders, waterers, etc... Got almost every answer I needed here! We also have 2 rabbits(breeding for meat bunnies), 2 Beagles and a Tabby cat. Love this place and am learning a lot!
