This auction is for 20 (twenty) Hope Giant Watermelon Seeds.
Our Royal Rangers had a unique fund raiser in August/September 2009: Guess the weight of our giant watermelon for a $1 donation and if you guess correctly, you win the watermelon! This giant NC Cross watermelon was grown by Lloyd Bright of Hope, Arkansas. Lloyd is a three time Guinness Book of World Record watermelon winner. The fundraiser ended September 9. The winner guessed 145.25 pounds.
The exact weight was 145.5 pounds.
The winner donated the giant watermelon back to our boys. They are now presenting some of the seeds for sale as their Spring fundraiser.
Seeds are in good condition stored in our kitchen all winter. We will include 20 seeds in each sale. Germination has not been checked.
