I have two hens both are egg laying age (for sure) I found where one is laying eggs but the other have not found where...here is my question these ladies are free ranging on the property about 1/4 acre and over grown in many areas....Not sure of the breed so must get photos later as it may help know how she acts when seeking to lay eggs...Is there any technique I can employee to isolate and finally her hidden spot of egg laying? These two hens stay close to each other and as stated they roam all over the place.

Keep them penned up until noon. When you turn them loose, watch where she goes.

I have no coop built at this time, but it makes me think of how to find a bee hive...capture a few bees and release one at a time...they will bee line back to the hive I may have to wait to find the favorite hiding spot...thanks for the suggestion it sounds very promising.
