I had chickens for a year and a half, then gave them up because I got tired of driving 15 mins to the farm every day to feed them. BUT.... spring fever has bitten me hard and I am expecting 5 babies in the mail tomorrow and I just put 18 eggs in the incubator!!!!

So sigh...

I am hopeless.

Yep, you're hopeless all right!

My husband is like that...when I first mentioned getting some chicks he was against it. Then he relented and let me get a few. Then he decided he kind of liked them and said I could get ten more. Then we got turkeys. Now we're incubating geese and ducks and he mentioned yesterday that if I could find them, he'd like to set another HUNDRED chicken eggs!

I had to remind him the incubator doesn't hold that many. He wants to give flocks of chickens to all our friends!

I am hoping to keep some at the house this time. I guess the only thing people could object to is the roosters crowing, and I have some time to get rid of them before they start to go at it!

Hugggzzzz Join us at ChixzAnonomous lol.I feel ya I find myself lost with out mine.I had to move from farm for 3 months and sold every bird I had.I thought the world had ended:hit.I got lucky and got my house back and trying to re-start my whole bird flock.I don't know if I could go through that again but...But if it does I guess life does go on and I will make it through it.They are a lot of work sometime's, but they are great companion's and a Joy to just look at.I am hoping to get a few turkeys back also and got some guinea egg's incubating as well.Up to 29 duckling's alone so far on top of the chickie's.Weeeeee.Guess We are all "Hopeless" together.
