(1) I am totally new to chickens. I worked with a variety of birds for for 9 years and was a vet tech for several years, so I have some basics but am still learning a LOT. I'm super excited to gain our new family members eventually.

(2) We don't have any just yet. I'm looking to hopefully rehome/adopt/rescue some ladies in need.

(3) - none yet - Without already having an established flock, I was really hoping to be able to adopt some ex-battery hens since there is no need for quarantine for disease or pests. However, it seems I may be looking during the wrong time of year.

(4) I'm really looking forward to teaching our boys about them. I would love to continue to learn about them along side my boys and how we all benefit each other when well taken care of and bringing each other happiness. Eggs for the household and neighbors would be great.

(5) Gardening & vermiculture are two of my "hobbies" During our short cool season, I love camping. I don't really make much time for other hobbies at the moment. I pretty much just hang out with and go on adventures with the boys.

(6) My husband and I have 3 & 4.5 yr old boys. We have 2 dogs. Thankfully my 4.5yr old is very much into helping me with my "hobbies" and the younger one is coming around. Both are thankfully really taking to all things nature and earthy. I have always worked with and around animals until my husband's job required me to take on a more stay at home roll. Now, I'm grateful to be able to educate others on safer, more environmentally friendly cleaning & personal care options without needing to leave much. We try to make good, earth-friendly, healthy choices and teach the boys environmentally friendly, sustainable ways as much as possible.

(7) I learned about and joined today while continuing my research on chickens and adopting/rescuing them. I'm excited to be here.
