Hoping this guy turns into an awesome Rooster!

One of our heritage breed mixes, isn't he beautiful? 7 weeks old.





Hoping that with daily handling and interaction he will grow up to be just as awesome as our current rooster. Our flock has grown significantly and I can see us easily needing 2 or 3 roosters to keep everyone safe. He is one of many candidates lol.

What a handsome lil man! You'll probably get a lot of people telling you to leave him alone and never interact with him - but if you handled your first rooster and he came out well you obviously know what you're doing

In the third pic if you look closely you can tell that he carries at least one copy of the dominant ‘awesomeness’ gene...so he’s at least heterozygous for awesome

I appreciate that wisdom actually because you know know, I didn't handle my current rooster too much now that I think of It! I was around him a lot as a chick and talked to him, gave him a pet here and there.

This guys is a chick from my friends rooster who is gorgeous and SO gentle towards his humans. Fingers crossed!!
