hopping roo

My rooster was yanked out of the coop by the leg by a raccoon a week ago and he's still hopping around. He will put his other foot don't or limp on it occassionally. How long should I wait to see if this will heal? I have two roo's so putting him down would be wicked sad but not overly so.

It just depends on the damage done at the time of trama. We had a henthat was taken from a coop being sold off and we must have jerked something wrong. She limped around for 2 weeks. That foot is still slightly larger then the other and 2 months later she still hops only sometimes.
