I had a broody mom, that were really good mother for a week, now when her chicks are week old I saw today 3 of them where bleeding (they where fine yesterday)

But I took those 3 away and but some aloe Vera on there wounds and then went back out to check on the other 2 that I saw where okey when I took the 3 wounded chicks.

When I came back to check on the 2 that’s where okey, there where started to bleed to! And then I saw why they where bleeding, there mom was eating there wings.

Now why would I good mom all of a sudden start become mean to her chicks
I immediately took the 2 chicks away from her (those 2 aren’t as hurt like the other 3 I took at first)

But my question is could I try to save there lives?
There’s 3 I think I might be able to save, but then there’s 2 that are really injured, there wounds are so deep I can see there bones, should I try save them or should I but them down?
My mom says she saw them eat and drink but I don’t think they feel well tho, they don’t move a round much because I think there in much pain.

I was so angry when I saw this, why didn’t I saw this earlier so I could stop this, but the chick where almost away under her when I came in

Remove all the chicks, some moms are better than others, yours is definitely a bad one. I would wait and see how the bad ones do for a few days before deciding. Definitely keep them where flies can't get at them. Posting pictures of the wounds in the emergency thread would be a good idea too.

I have stopped the bleeding and I took all of them away from her immediately when I saw what she was doing, where in a cage inside my bedroom now where there’s no flies.
The wounds are like I said in the post on there wings

I’m going to take pictures of them and post in the emergency thread then

Not fitting the normal definition of good mom, this one. Most of our chicken breeds of today are far too neurotic to be good moms.
