Horrible molt! Is something wrong!

My Calls are a year old this Spring, and this molt is making them look AWFUL. I don't have any pics, but their feathers are so discolored and pinioned, yuck. Is this normal!?

Yes that is normal. Some ducks lose there feathers gradually, but most just fall apart! It may look bad, but the feathers will grow back, into better and more beautiful ones. I have a hen that pretty much explodes in a fury of feathers when ever shes in molt, she looks naked!

My call ducks are going thru thier first molt .. they were a year old in March... they look sooo funny...and they must be crabby as my one male who always wants to be held pretty much ignores me right now... ppoooor babies. But they definately need new feathers.
This is my first MOLT also as these are my first ducks. I guess I dont really know how long it takes???? a few weeks ??
