It's the first time I've seen this and I fear it looks like a worm! Please help. Thank you.

A worm is not an impossibility, but to me it looks more like rather extensive blood spotting. A picture from another angle might help.
Unfortunately due to the depth of the container I could not get another photo and it has been disposed of. If I am correct it was laid by a hen who had chicks early this year and this is the first egg in months.

If this is so she may lay 'wonky' eggs for a bit until the reproductive tract gets back to normal.

It is winter there, just past solstice other bird maybe coming back into lay...funky eggs can happen then.
Just keep any eye out, open each egg one at a time in a separate dish before adding to pan or recipe, and further dissection if you see it again.

I have my customers do this and save the entire egg shell and all in the fridge if they find something funky.

Having found worms in eggs personally (yes, yuck!) I don't think that is what it is.
Just a bit of tissue and or blood spots from the reproductive tract. Safe to eat if cooked, unless the yuck factor is too much, then toss.

I didn't take pictures of mine. Roundworms, I have to worm regularly for them. Looks like the images you find online for roundworms in eggs. Worm is in the white of the egg, unmistakably a roundworm.
MUCH better version of the video that you posted!! :thumbsup
