I have some barb but was already up when I bought this place. Just top two strands all the way around my pasture. I do plan on replacing it someday with hot wire probably......my filly and cows have been fine out there never got hurt out there yet. My filly did however get hurt on some barb laying loose on the ground she got loose one night. It is and can be dangerous and I know many horse owners that don't want nothing to do with barb wire and their horses because bad things can happen and it gets them good when it does. My bill was $300 and she has a fairly good scar and I had to heal it from the inside out which took about 2 months time.
