These are not your normal looking fly, they are about 1/2 the size of a mosquito or maybe even a bit smaller than that. They settle in the arch of her back and around her body. I did get some stall dry last night and put in her run but she's out in the pasture for most of the day so need some more options.
What do you all do to stop flies?

A good pyrethrin based fly spray or wipe. I rotate sprays also...
Pryanha, Endure, etc. You can also purchase fly sheets, leg wraps etc., that will help keep them off.

Check her belly area to make sure she's not developing sores from "sweet itch". If you have sweet itch I have a good homemade mix that will sooth and protect.

We have those. They will cover the horses.

I use Lysol spray. I mix a little water and Lysol and spray them down. Flies hate it and it has been the best thing I have ever used. I have spent $$$ on sprays, natural remedies, and powders...nothing but Lysol has worked for me. I even spray it around my porch and door frames to keep them from coming inside (flies love our place for some reason

) I hate them.

That was recommended to me by a horse trainer. I was skeptical at first but it works best for me....
