Hot🔥Cakes?

Hello friends -
Anyone wanna chime in and tell me about these Hotcakes? (I’ll attach a photo)… I’m not sure if it’s like really hot; I mean, is it truly spicy? — If so, why?
I’m not learning much from these labels, looks just like a normal treat to me, but it does state it’s hot by the name of it. I’m generally confused & curious…
I was meaning to get some kind of hanging treat, one that’s safe for all ages, as my flock has new babies running around now.

I'm pretty sure they're just suet cakes made specifically for chickens, I don't think they're spicey, not the spices affects chickens in any way.

I think the "hot" is intended to deter squirrels and other rodents. Birds don't have the receptor.

Yep it's to keep the rodents away so they don't eat the treats meant for birds. Birds can't taste the heat.
