Unfortunately I have the privelage of living in centeral Iowa...where temps in summer reach 100F (heat index of 120F days on end) and winter temps dip below zero quite often. So the problem I face is not just needing cold hardy breeds but cold and heat tolerant breeds.

Do any of you know breeds (mainly bantams please) that are both tolerant in extreme heat and cold? Thank you for your time.

For Bantams that will meet that description there is a long list, Old English banatms, Wyandotte Bantams, Brahma Bantams, the temperature ranges you are seeking are not out of the ordinary and most bantam breeds will meet your temperature desires.

Brahmas And Silkies Do Well Here In PA Like Last Week Our Heat Index Was 115 My Brahma Handled It Great And So Did The Silkies And My Neighbor Has Silkies And Hasnt Lost 1 Due To Heat Or Cold!

Seems my Old English and D'uccles fair the heat much better than my silkies and polish. Bantams are such wonderful, hardy little birds. Good luck

Thank you soooo much! I wasn't sure the Brahma Bantams could handle the extreme heat but if they can than I really think I'm going to give them a shot! Thank you again.
