Hot Date for a Hen?

I agree, you're better off getting a roo yourself or getting hatching eggs. It's safer and more practical
Thank you. We've had a couple rounds of roosters in the past, one in particular we loved and rehomed ( slick jagger, an Australorp) but we live just outside of the town center and have a 'cant disturb the neighbors peace' clause in our lease. Although some days the hens are just as loud! Anyone else get perturbed by their hens having a good squawk off?
Anyways we've opted for a round of fertile hatching eggs in the mail, we'll see how it goes, and hopefully we'll get a roo to keep for a short while, just long enough 😉 anyone ever mix a lavender Ameraucauna rooster with a maran?
