I read something that said a little hot peppers in feed is good for chickens and they can’t taste the heat like we do. Is this a myth? Just wanted to check before I do it

It said peppers keep away parasites, but I suspected it was a myth from the start. Thank you!Chickens cannot taste the hot peppers but what do you mean by it being good for them?
What's good for them as a balanced diet which is made of a pellet or crumbled poultry fee.
Adding peppers won't hurt anything but it's not going to do anything that's good for them either.
Well I thought it was a myth from the start, but it’s supposed to keep away parasites like the squirrels, I guess
I know people put hot peppers in wild bird feeders to keep squirrels out of the feed and it's said the birds don't object. What do you think your flock will gain from the peppers?
