No, our birds get nothing that is processed with chemical preservatives.

Corn on cob
Watermelon
Cantaloup
Tomatoes
Frozen veggie blend bags

2 litter bottle filled with water and frozen laid out for them to lay on or against.

Plenty of fresh cool water and shady spot to get out of the sun

That sounds a really good idea but I found my hens love frozen smoothies it's a healty option all u do is get some fruit that going a bit bad and mix it all together then freeze it then put it in a bowl and put it in the freezer then the sun will melt it and the chickens can have a cool drink just an idea Emily :cd

My girls (and boy) love frozen watermelon, rind and all, I give them frozen tomato's too. I have heard tomato's are not so good for them, but if I don't give them one or two a week they just go shopping in my garden for them. No matter how hard I try to keep them out they are rascally little birds and can't resist a bright red tomato on the vine. Especially my RIR. Tried a frozen bottle they want nothing to do with it. I put ice in there water several times a day and a frozen bottle. I have a drip system that mists the area, and they also aren't to thrilled about it. Plenty of shade though so I guess they all good.

Mine get a lot of watermelon. I give the ones that starting to spoil and the ones we eat the heart from. They eat it down to the thin green skin.

Like many of you I give my birds frozen watermelon and other cold Fruits and veggies... Something I just tried and they Loved was Yogurt cups frozen.. I used plain yogurt and stirred in some frozen peas and carrots I had in the freezer... I froze the cups and then just popped out the frozen mixture and placed it in the coop in a dish.. THEY LOVED IT!!!!!!
