Houdan experts.... male or female?

This is approx 2 or 3 months old. Purchased a month ago at the Griffiths Poultry farm open house and the comb was not red at that time.

well, I don't have Houdan, but have 2 other v-combed breeds and that looks like a cockeral to me, my la fleche and appenzeller are laying and their combs aren't that big....

I am positive that would be a roo! My Houdan pullet's comb was never, ever that large or red.

Also, the crest is looking pretty spiked instead of rounded and full.

Cockerel, the hens do not get that V Shaped Comb.

Thank you all! I guess he'll be the full sized roo that I'll keep. The silkie boy I have just can't charm those heavy breed girls.... LOL
