House chicken?

For those have them, could i have a rundown on how i do this?

It is not my idea, not at all. That said unfortunately, my one silkie pullet has NOT blended back into her parental flock at all and has now injured her foot/leg.

Seriously, have no other flock or pair i can put her with. She is doing okay, i do pen her back outside within the pen where what her flock should be is so she does get 'chicken time' but i am not keeping her in the barn as our nights are cold and you know silkies they flop and pile.

Advice? not the time to sell her with winter coming, though i may come spring she'll be one in your pocket kind of chicken that is for sure.

I had house chickens for more or less the same reason. Potty training is no option. So the poop is the biggest problem, I think. A single chicken will follow you around b/c they need company and someone to talk to. So remove or cover everything that can't be swabed and mobed from the rooms where you're usually sojourned during the day Chicken will try to eat everything they can reach, So save your plants and flowers and don't let fruits, cookies or meds or everything else that could be "picked up" on the table. My tiny rooster once stole a vitamin pill and he survived but a pain killer or a heart drug would have been his end, I think.
My chickens even refused to roost alone so I turned my nightstand into a roost. Not that nice but nicer than a whiny chicken.
She will get used to your home and it was a long process to get my house chickens back into the yard. Sitting on the sofa watching TV is so much more comfortale than sitting in the hen house . My chickens finally made the transition back, but some like Justine in this vid stay house chickens.

An adorable video and bird! It's definitely going to be a challenge .. perhaps some chicken diapers are in order ? lol We've gone quite cold which is only adding to my frustration as i don't want to be taking her from heated home, to cold outdoors so will get her some veg for today for distraction.
