I recently heard about another woman who has a diapered house duck that she carries around in a pet sling. I wish I would have met her myself :/ I figured I would ask on here to know how others care for and spoil their house ducks. Thank you in advance for your reply :D

1. How many house ducks do you have?
2. What are your ducks names?
3. What breed are your ducks? Any preference between breeds?
4. How do you house your ducks at night?
5. How and what do you use to diaper your ducks?
6. How do you travel with your ducks in the car/plane?
7. Do you use a pet sling to carry your duck?
8. Do you take your ducks anywhere fun? Parks? Fairs? Livestock/poultry shows?
9. Do you have dogs/cats and ducks? How do you train your pets to interact nicely?
10. Do you live in a city or town? How does it effect your ducks? Any neighbor/HOA issues?

I have a pet sling for Donegan. He loved it as a baby... But he doesnt fit anymore. He ended up getting a lot bigger than my Cayuga was.

1. Just one now, after my cayuga passed away.
2. Donegan
3. Welsh Harlequin. Ive had experience with metzers cayugas and buffs... Welshs are by far the best IMO.
4. He sleeps in a large critter cage in my room. I always want him with me.
5. I make my own diapers. You can get similar diapers from Waddle Wrappers on facebook.
6. A smaller dog carrier. He loves it... Its his safe place. And i always bring his large cage for when we get where were going.
7. Answered above
8. Usually just wherever we travel. Kids at parks, etc can be too overwhelming for him.
9. Two dogs... Two cats. The cats are weary of donegan... But they do great together. The dogs do great, too. I didnt have to train them, but i didnt let them meet until donegan was full grown. When he was a baby and his beak couldnt fit through the bars, i let the animals come into the room and smell him. They couldnt care less about donegan being there. They sniffed and went on their way like he had been there all along.
10. I live in a rural town. We are very close friends with our entire culdesac and they brag about donegan all the time. Lol

Hi,

I don't have house ducks, so I cannot answer from my own experience. One of our members (who has not been able to participate regularly for a few weeks . . . life gets busy sometimes), Nettie, has house ducks. Perhaps you can look over some of her posts and pick up much of the information you are looking for.

Sorry you did not receive a quick reply. I love the idea of house ducks, but with eleven, well, by the time I might get everyone diapered up in the morning. . . . it would be lunchtime!!!!

She just rehomed her ducks to another woman i talk to. All of them, i believe?
