House duck?

I had 2 Runner ducks.

1 was killed by a dog on Sunday. They are only a few months old and were raised together.

Naturally the remaining duck is not happy being alone.
She quacks. A lot. Really loudly.

Yesterday afternoon I got tired of hearing her quack, so I brought her inside, sat her on a towel and she just chilled with us on the futon for about 15 minutes.

When I put her back in her enclosure she was quiet! And she stayed quiet the rest of the evening.

Anyone else ever experience that?

I'm sure she was content with a little bit of love... poor sweetie! Give her lots of treats and attention... and maybe a new buddy. <3
