I have a dozen Welsh Harlequin ducklings coming next month. Obviously they will go in something temporary until t hey are bigger. What size coop will they require (all females)?

Do laying ducks do best with individual nest boxes or do I make a community box?

Thanks

I have 4 females, 3 of which are WH. They all share a nest. They tend to sleep wherever, but in the morning someone makes a nice hollow in the straw and 90% of the time, that's where all the eggs are. They were laying in the xl dog igloo in their night pen, but my crazy runner went broody and now it is a maternity ward. They have some new temporary housing in the run. They lay in the straw in a smaller dog house or in a large plastic square garbage can laid on its side also stuffed with straw.

Not sure about pen size for that many ducks, but I say the bigger the better.
