Houston Ducks

Hi, was wondering if there are any duck owners in Houston. We only have just one duckling, Quackers. S/he is only about 5 weeks old & inside. We plan on building a house for him outside but not sure what will be best. There's so many different designs to choose from. Then there's the unpredictable weather, humidity, heat, & freezing cold. Quackers doesn't like going outside when it's to hot she'll go to the front door & quack to be let in lol. Don't know when would be a good time to put her outside. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Please be careful - predators will come out of nowhere looking for duck dinner. Please please please. Even stray cats, hawks….

Thanks @Amiga I'll check it out. The tips thread was one of the first threads I've read on here.

Only creatures around here are rats & cats lol. Planning on using hardware cloth to in close Quackers' place.
