Houston we have an EGG!!!!!

I AM SO EGG-CITED!!!! Yesterday one of my girls (none of the 18 I have have layed as of yet) kept checking out one of the laying boxes and she kept like pushing her butt out and stuff. I was SURE she was going to lay her first egg. She is my OG girl, a Welsummer and my oldest.
Welp I go out this morning and Hubby points out that Stormie my Olive Egger won't leave the box, not even when I brought scrambled eggs out . SO I go check on her and SHE LAID AN EGG!!! A very pretty olive green egg. Strong shell, perfect size. I am so proud!!!!

Stormy is 4.5 months old. She is not my oldest either. that is Goldie and she is 5.5 months old. Nothing from her yet! So far just Stormy and she has laid one a day for the last 4 days now

Good job Stormie! Very exciting! The first ever egg my girl laid was at this time of year, too! My rooster did his best to help. I think he thought he laid the egg!

It was really strange because she sat on the first one and looked at me weird when I took it and then continued to look for it throughout the day. The next 3 she has just dumped and left...LOL
