ok people, i am about to set 34+ eggs in my bator. the wafer style thermostats are terrible. i want to wire in a digital or at least a normal thermostat into it instead. has anyone had any experience with this? i have 3 of the same model incubators, and have spent hundreds of dollars on eggs just to have a temperature spike midway thru.

i am feed-up with it. can anyone tell me if it will work or if it is possible?

GQF, the manufacturer of Hovabator sells the thermostats separately. I think they're about $70 or so. Might work fine if you got a computer fan and attached it. Circulated air does much better than still air like your bator. I only have wafer thermostats and they work okay, but both my hovabators are circ air. One was the old model and DH added a fan. I never have big temp spikes in those, not unless a wafer blows and that's only happened one time.
