Hova bator 1062 N

So I'm sure this question has been asked a million times, but I've been reading about the thermometer on the hova bator, and that it is usually about 2 degrees too high. Is this true/have you experienced this? What should i do to accommodate this? I have heard of just buying a thermometer from the store but I feel like there's no way to tell which one is right.
