Hova-Bator 1602N Thermal Air incubator temp issues

Day 18- I had another chick hatch early in the AM. I see two more eggs zipping and maybe one or two that had pipped last night with no further action. All the rest of the eggs are still and quiet.

Last night I took the five chicks out that hatched throughout the day and put them into the brooder. They seem to be doing ok, except that one has a bulged eye. I added water to the incubator as well as two damp paper towels which raised the humidity to 75%. It was at 50% before that for a day, but at 27% right after lockdown.

I am concerned that the humidity was too low. The larger eggs (jumbo brown corturnix) are all in the group with no activity whereas it seem like the A&M's are hatching along with some of the Tibetans. I guess all I can do is wait at this point. Any other advice?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's impossible to constantly keep the temp & humidity where it's *supposed* to be.

Saturday morning my wife woke me up and told me I had quail in the incubator; oh crap, I hadn't pulled the plugs and added water yet and the turner was still going. The humidity was still around 30%. I figured it was best to just leave it alone because the eggs were zipping like crazy, but I did unplug the turner & crack the top to rescue a quail that was hanging upside down with his feet kicking in the air and his head was stuck through the egg hole in the rack, and another one was jammed on his back between the turner frame and the side of the incubator.
When a lull in the hatch occured I opened the top and quickly dumped a cup of warm water into channel #1 which raised the humidity to around 70%.

My point being there's a wider acceptable parameter of humidity & temps than what is textbook perfect. Generally if I keep it below 50% during incubation and higher then 50% during hatching and the temp between 99-101* it goes well.

Day 19- Only 7 are hatched out. Two looked like the zipped three-quarters of the way but have gone no further. I see one of them is still breathing, but they have been that way since yesterday morning.
