I just purchased a Hova Bator and filled the outer ring with water (as per the directions) I have not put in my eggs yet, however, I can't seem to get the humidity below 64%. Will the humidity decrease when I add the eggs? I'm going to try removing more of the water.

Does it have plugs that you can remove?

Yes, it has one. I was afraid that this would cause the temperature to go down.

The plugs are mainly to regulate the humidity, you might have to adjust the temperature a bit but as long as the room the incubator is in stays at stable temperature it will be okay.

tyvm - I pulled the plug a little while ago and the humidity is going down

the heater is just working a little harder to maintain the temperature - but so far so good.
