Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same issue I am having. I have an older Hovabator Genesis 1588 that stopped working last year. The display would light up yellow and the red heat light would come on but the fan and heating elements would not come on. I thought the fan and element had burned out so I went ahead and ordered a new top for it with the electronics, fan, element, and all that. The new one came in last week (they sent the new top and included a bottom as well) but it does the exact same thing as the old one. Couldn't get ahold of a technician at GQF, so I thought maybe it was my old power supply that had went bad. I went ahead and ordered that and it came in today and with the new power supply both units STILL do the exact same thing! I am currently awaiting a call back from a technician. I am beyond frustrated to say the very least.

Any help or advice on what is wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe @Debbie292d would know something, or maybe @The Moonshiner, he's pretty good with incubators... if you haven't already figured out the problem.
I had to replace the electronic thermostat on it. Ordered the part from incubator warehouse. Thank you for responding to my post though. The incubator is up and running fine now.

I just plugged my Genesis 1588 yesterday. On the top, it appears the numbers are ok. However, I have other thermometers in the bator and the numbers are not the same. The temp shows 100.5 on the top and the temp in the bottom is showing 99.5. Nothing is making sense. And each device is showing different nimbers. Is this really that hard? I guess most thermometers are not accurite anymore.

Bingo. You figured it out. I don't trust any thermometer until it has been calibrated. Some, like medical thermometers, have been calibrated but I've seen close to ten degrees Fahrenheit difference in thermometers on display at the hardware store.

It took me about three hatches to get my 1588 set up properly (it ran too hot) but once I did it was very dependable.

Thank You Ridgerunner. It's nice to just hear another opinion and experinces. I'm a little less stressed now.
