Hovabator hatch along

I have a 1602N that is fairly old and the wing nut is stripped that is supposed to keep the t-stat from creeping but I just keep using it it seems like the temp has not moved as much the last 2 hatches and I am hatching in an uninsulated unheated shed right now but for the most part all winter I have hatched in a foyer that opens to the outside via an entrance door and the elictric heat I have been using in this hall way has kept an almost constant 70*

So this is whats causing my temp to go up and down....Is there a way to fix it or are you having good hatches as is? I have it loaded right now.

I am not sure but I keep meaning to order a new wing nut and 2 new plastic windows but I keep having good hatches the last 2 hatches I have done were 15/15 and 15/18 last coupla days my temps have coming on at 99.2 and shutting off at 100 this is from a remote bulb thermometer laying right on top of the eggs once mine quits searching and settles down I just do not touch the t-stat at all

So I am thinking of candling on Monday day 8.

Also how often do you guys add water? I put in Sunday and added some on Thursday.

YES!! I hovabator hatchalong. I have the 1602N. I added the fan and turner after the failed first hatch and the thing rocks. I have 36 Tibetan Quail eggs set on the 20th. Looking at a May 7th Hatch. Good Luck all!

It just depends on your humidity if it is at good humidity I would do what your doing. I have no water and have perfect humidity it just depends on your humidity. It says 2 times a week.
