how about the sterility/productivity of a guinea chicken hybrid

I have read a bit on this forum that the guinea-peafowl hybrids were steril. What about with chickens? Also....does it matter about who is the hen and who is the roo? The combinations I saw were all with guinea hens and males from other species.
 
Hybrids are nearly always sterile. That's part of what determines 2 seperate species versus just different breeds or subspecies. 2 distinct species with their own designation should not be able to interbreed and produce fertile offspring. At least not more often than a very very rare occurance that does not continue to pass on through another generation.
