I know we've had a few going on this week.
I checked on my Lexi first thing this morning and i'm convinced her limp is getting better, although she is still favoring that leg. And in spite of the limp and the COOOOOLLLLD temps here she is still laying nearly every day - what a champ.

Mine is still on the predinsone, but the 1/4 of a pill a day. She eats down with a fee teas. of scambled eggs!!! I'm not sure that she is doing any better after a full week of this stuff but et says give it te full 20 day cycle. As you know she has been in a rabbit hutch now for over a month. It has been down in the teens here the last two nights but have covered the hutch with shipping blankets and put extra shavings in were she sleeps and she is right there to greet us each morning. My problem is she is healthy otherwise and extremely pretty girl and so full of life other than her foot. I'm torn between quality of life thing!!! She can't live a good life in the hutch!!!

I have decided to give an update - After much thought and a sleepless night I decided to put Chicken Little into the main coop on Friday 12-11-09 - a week ago. She is so small compared to all her sisters, about half their size. Oh well - sink or roost! Well, first night was very hard and I did help a little. H says that I can't help her as she has to make it on her own. I did however make her a box on the floor. Weel by Saturday she no feathers along one side of her neck and she looked even thinner. Not going to help!! Then on Monday she had managed t oget out of the coop by herself and also back in. To the water and feed. She has not been in the box for the last two nights but on a little roost that I made for her that is now shared by two sisters to keep warm - the bottom of the order I guess. She is sleek and shiney!!! And she chirps at me when she sees me and comes hopping over. So, I could not cull her and wasn't sure if she would sink or roost and I guess as time goes on she will let me know if she is able. But for Now She IS!!!!
