How big are bantams?

Please forgive me for being naive, but how big are typical bantams? I have seen "regular" chickens like rocks and orpingtons but nothing considered fancy. I was thinking of getting some bantam silkies and cochins sometime in the near future and don't have a real idea of how big the birds get.

Around a foot at most for purebreds.

example: New Hampshire Red Bantam egg 1.4 - 1.5 oz (standart large egg 2 oz)

Actually Malay & Cornish bantams are a bit bigger: 44oz cocks & 36oz hens.

i dont know if you can say that cornish are bigger, just heavier, they are all body. Meaty breasts!

As a group mind you, most of the bantam breeds with be under 12 inches tall. Weight will vary.
