How big should I build the new pen?

Hopefully we will start on a new pen for my little ducks tomorrow. I have 3, they are 3 weeks old now. What size pen do you suggest we build. I want a kiddie pool in there, and a little house for them. I'm not sure if I will put the house in the pen or just attach it to the pen. I am putting it on a sloping part of the yard, in hopes of making hosing the pen out easier. Also what do you recommend I put down in the pen and house, or should I just leave it ground. I use pine shavings in my chicken pen and coop.

I think 4 sq ft in the coop/house and 10 sq ft in the run/pen rule applies to ducks as well as chickens. However I think the more space the better!!

It seems no matter how big a pen is or the run or just free rangeing..My 10 ducks are stuck to each other...Where 1 goes they all go..Where one sleeps they all sleep on top of each other...
