I started with 16 chicks. I've almost doubled...lol. here's what I have:

8 barred rock, 8 ISA brown, 5 EE's, 1 RIR, 1 aust, 1 SLW, 2 BO, 1 black sex link, 6 bantams and 3 ducks.(2 rouen, 1 indian runner). Ducks will not be in the coop, but they will be in the run. I plan to let the chickens out everyday its nice enough.

So how much space do they have to have? What's my minimum where they will be comfortable?

Thanks

If you've got the acreage to allow them to free range, that'd be best.

However, if you're building a run, I think the math is 10sq feet per bird.

well i have 18 chicks right now and getting 15 more what would i have to biuld for there run in sqf

So you could build a run that is about 20' x 20' and they'll have some good space.

A run that is 20' x 15' could also work.

The more space you can give them, the better!
