how ca i get a hen to go broody??

i have four chickens a green legged hatch hen a buff orphington a rhode island red and a 1/4 round head a 1/4 hatch and some laying hen breed.

i have tried to let eggs accumulate i had about 9 and they didnt set on them they all use the same box and the green legged hatch lays white eggs could that have something to do with it i dont want to go out and buy an incubator so i need ideas.

Your Buff Orpington might take to a few fake eggs in the nest box, but don't take my word for it.

i think out of my bunch she would be the last to go broody she lays and leaves the other two sit on there for a little while

Well, buff orpingtons are generally known to be good broodies... but hey, every clucker's different.
