How can I deal with the loss of my rooster ?

It's been seven years and half since i first got my little baby chick as a pet & today he is no longer with me ! I am writing this with rivers of tears running from my eyes. I raised him ever since he hatched from his egg, i fed him the best kind of food, played with him, got him to sleep, hugged him, & he would share the same feelings with me. He would wake up so early and come stand at the closed door of my bedroom for hours without a single move waiting for me to just open the door so that he would jump into my bed and sleep next to me! He got really old and his body couldn't bear the burden of aging anymore, and this morning at 11:00 am he passed away! He was white from the outside and the inside, and i wouldn't be exaggerating to say that he was an angel on earth and the only thing that is comforting me now is that i believe that he is an angel in heaven.
Honestly, words would never express the greif and mourn deep within my heart. He's gone and he took a piece of my soul with him! Rest in peace Baki, you've been the most beautiful and loyal companion to me & you will always be remembered !
