I have 6 sapphire gem chicks supposedly the same age... 3 have longer tail Feathers and 3 have short tail Feathers? Maybe they are slighting older the other 3??

second pictutre of another chick with its wing spread. Also has a longer tail.

Thanks for the info! This is my first time raising chicks, so I'm a bit clueless when it comes to sexing chicks! I only ever bought laying hens in the past.

Other than these, First thing I notice is at least in some breeds, the female butt feathers come in sooner. And always keep and eye on the comb. After they are feathered and maybe 3-4 months old, I look for shiny in the sun, feathers on tail and just before the tail area. I currently have chicks that age. And one I was hoping was a girl had shiny green tail feathers.
