How can I give birds or eggs to somebody in the USA?

I have a friend in the US who’s really missing her pet hen and has been searching for a similar cross ever since. I just so happened to produce a very similar bird accidentally but I live in Canada and I’m wondering if there’s any way to send eggs or chicks from the same parents to her. How do people go about this sort of thing?

Just trying to be helpful here. Perhaps contact your Dept. of Agriculture, whatever it's called in Canada. I'd have the feeling it might be a lot of trouble getting birds shipped across nowadays what with bird flu and all the other concerns they might have.

Honestly, it would be way more work than just finding a breeder for your friend.
