so i have a four almost five mouth old silkie she likes to stay with my two other chicks that she grow up with since the whole flock is so mean to them and ive seen them walking around and it just seems like the fluff on my silkies head makes it too wear she cant see anything. i let my whole flock free range all day and one time when i went to open the door to the coop my silkie tryed to get out of the coop but she ran into chicken wire she could not see the door ive seen people put hear bands to hold there fluff but would that work is there any other ways to hold her fluff up thanks

I tried the silkie pony tail idea.... One of our silkies has a huge crest that prevents her from seeing. The concept worked very well on the silkie with the giant crest. Our other one tends to remove it within 30 min.
Warning: The pony tail may lead to a brief photo session & game of silly dress up. Silkies are just made for that sort of thing! They don't mind all the fussing & always pose so well for the camera. (The "outfits" are just doll cloths draped over them for the photo.)
