I just got 11 chicks. 10 hens and one rooster. The rooster however was having a harder time walking around in the box I had him in. I left and came back and he kept falling over and when he fell over the other chicks kept pecking at him. Since then I have separated him into his own box with water and food but he mostly just stays in the corner of the box chirping not moving. Since he hasn't moved to eat or drink I have started hand feeding him. I have given him pediatric electrolytes(saw online to do so) as well as started feeding him plain yogurt and unsweetened apple sauce. I don't know what else I should do to keep him alive. Any suggestions?

Hatching and then shipping to a sales point/new home is very stressful. Some make it, and some don't - no fault on the part of their owners. Hope that yours is one that makes it. Welcome to BYC, and good luck.

Greetings! Is he also on the medicated chick feed? You might want to consider antibiotics. I just bought some from the feed store for my sick one month olds. Hoping it works. I have a couple with abnormal stool and one of them is walking funny and keeps falling over. I hooe your little guy pulls through.
