How can I stop diarrhoea my Cornish X

How old are they? What part of the country are you in? How many? How big is their brooder (exact dimensions please), what is the temp at warm end and cool end? What are you feeding them, and where are you brooding them? What are you using for bedding? Can you show a pic?

They are 11wks old. I live in Nigeria. There are 40 birds left. I have lost 5. The dry season (summer) just began. They are in a battery cage.

What do you mean re: controlling the heat? What is your temperature? If it's warm there, that is most likely your answer. They are drinking more. Chickens can't sweat so, they cool themselves down by drinking more water. That may also be the reason why they are dying. If they are overheated, and drinking a lot, they are loosing too many electrolytes. You can improve this, by mixing up some home made electrolyte solution. I am only guessing here!

But, if they are Cornish x Rocks, they should be processed before 12 weeks of age! They are not designed to live long, and may die simply b/c they grow too big for their body systems to meet their needs.

The weather is very hot here. They will be sold off next week. Hope I still have some left to be sold. They are on electrolyte mix I prepared.
Thanks for your response. God bless
