How can i tell if.. XP

How can i tell if the chicks died in the egg? is there something certain to look for? the temps have been a bit uneven lately, andi want to make sure they arent dead.

There is aother way to tell. I roll my eggs by hand. Sometimes when the egg contacts another you can here "a porcelin-sound". It's hard to explain, but the sound is unmistakable. That egg will not hatch.
