How could I sell off my extra austrolorps?

Well in May im getting 4 baby chicks all black austrolorps and 1 of them is gonna be a male.I would really like to have the females hatch out there own chicks but im not to sure who I could sell them too.Would you think the local farm store would take them if I had enough?You think people on craigslist would take BAs?any suggestions would be helpfull thanks!

Where in Mass Are you? There are a few places that will take extra Birds and they will raise them to meat age and kill them...Or if you raise them to meat age you can bring it to them, thell bring it to you processed for $5 a bird. If you want someone to have pets the NEBC will be having a swap meet soon... www.newenglandbantamclub.org

I misread your post... You want to sell chicks...yeah i would bring them to the swap meet !

Ohh wow thanks I could start them a few weeks and see which are male and female,also I live near Townsend and Groton..

I have never been to any places were they sell or trade poultry how is it there?

Its Okay, it depends if thats what people are buying, you would definitly have more of a chance of selling at a show or soemthing, but there are alot of new people in new england that are buying, there were 20 new people at the meeting last week that are all probably buying at the swaps or shows were having

BTW There should be a NEBC show in November and 2 or 3 swap meets over the summer

Ohh this is so neat!So do I have to pay for a new membership or something?Do I have to go to every meeting?And at every meeting on the calender you can sell stuff?Are there people selling other chickens there too?Thanks
