I am looking at one of the TSC prefab coops. Looks a bit like this one: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/p...ken-coop-with-a-view-glazed-pine?cm_vc=-10005.
It is used and selling for cheap. I want something for locking up a couple of randy cockerels that are getting far too amorous with our not ready pullets. I am expecting to keep the little stinkers in the frat house for a month or so until their raging hormones settle down.
I'm concerned about their safety while in lock up.
For the ease of moving it around, I was contemplating stapling hardware cloth to the bottom of the enclosure to prevent digging into the run but hate the idea of the boys walking on the wire.
Once they are reunited with the pullets, I would want to keep the extra coop/run for the other reasons listed in my title.
Ideas or suggestions welcome.
