how do I bring new chick into a coop with older chickens

I have about 4 week old chicks that I been caring for in side and I have 3 year old all ready out in the coop How do I bring the new chick into the coop? so there all happy

There were several posts about this particular situation several months ago and they were extremely informative both with success and failure as failure can be physically harmful or even deadly for the new "clan". I read these and followed all suggestions carefully and was successful in "blending" my 6 new chicks with my 8 yearlings. It was a "process" and took time and effort and they were never truly accepted until my rooster began to "claim" them; then they truly became part of the "clan". I would suggest "searching" this site as there are many, many posts and they were just awesome in guidence - I would take three pages of typing to repeat all of the great advice contained therein.
